Rui is a current graduate student in the lab investigating striatal neuromodulation in adolescent rodents and its implications in psychiatric disorders. Rui received his BS from Southern University of science and technology and his MS from Brandeis University. Rui’s interests in neurodevelopment and neuropsychiatric disorders arose from his experience at the Translational Neuroscience Center at Boston Children’s Hospital studying the neurophysiological relations to behavioral deficits in autism spectrum disorders.
